Job Summary
As an Agile Delivery Lead, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional product teams to deliver business value through their development and execution of work activities and alignment with Agile practices. You will influence and drive decision making and support organizational goals while maturing our Agile practices. In addition, you will help drive a healthy team dynamic built on trust, commitment, open communication, and continuous improvement through a focus on team and process maturity and deep collaboration across the matrixed organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Shapes team culture by being a proponent and modeler of a healthy team dynamic of trust and collaboration
- Leads the Agile team in applying and evolving their use of Agile principles and contributes to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organizations
- Acts as a change agent and adapts processes to maximize productivity of the team and the team's needs based on their input.
- Facilitates and provides coaching on refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, and retrospection.
- Leads team through story assignment, resolving ambiguity and complexity, identifying and removing blockers, and other Agile techniques.
- Organizes and runs daily stand-ups, sprint planning and sizing sessions, backlog refinement sessions, and end-of-sprint events.
- Manages and leads the delivery for the products/solutions team and generates discussions about interdependencies and impediments across streams
- Ensures healthy product backlog depth by working with Product team, Agile team members, and other subject matter experts.
- Escalates and drives resolution of key project risks to ensure projects meet their intended objectives
- Uses advanced communication, facilitation, negotiation, conflict-resolution, and coaching techniques to guide and mentor cross-functional subject matter experts.
- Determines strategies and influence approaches to use to enhance team dynamics by building trust and collaboration across a matrixed organization.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, computer-science, or related field, or an additional 2 years of experience in lieu of degree
- 8+ years of experience with a variety of Agile approaches and techniques
- 5+ years leading Agile teams
- Advanced knowledge of an agile framework and agile best practices and techniques
- Proficient knowledge of software development life cycle models and familiarity with traditional project management principles and practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Confluence and Jira
