- Facilitate learning and development through individual and team coaching, training and mentoring.
- Coach senior management in agile practices to ensure adoption of best practices from top-down.
- Lead discussions and planning with key stakeholders and senior leadership in constructing the foundation necessary for transforming from a waterfall or partial scrum framework to an Agile framework.
- Effectively communicate agile principles, agile practices and the overall agile operating model across the organization.
- Champion the use of team metrics and other objective measures to show the organization how to improve processes and increase productivity using lean-agile methods.
- Lead scaling efforts with other coaches.
- Create consistent collaboration and coordination across various agile teams.
- Leverage continuous improvement feedback to help fine-tune and optimize processes for agility.
- Provide transparency to and relentlessly works with leadership to remove escalated impediments.
- Assess the maturity of Agile within the value stream and coach to higher levels of maturity.
- Understand the value of commitments made by the value stream and hold everyone accountable for their commitments, pace and quality.
- Coach the Product Owner and Program Manager in driving high-value delivery.
- Key participant in all Value Stream and team agile ceremonies.
- Mentor and train the Scrum Masters in the application and benefits of agile practices to develop high performing self-organizing agile teams.
- Identify and correct behaviors that counter the Agile principles.
- Key contributor in developing and refining the agile playbook and training materials.
- Performs training (e.g., towards IT & business leadership, Product Owners) for agile teams, delivery leadership and executives.
- 3+ years experience working as an Agile Coach applying agile principles in Scrum/Kanban within large organizations or Fortune 500 companies.
- 5+ years experience working as a Scrum Master, Agile delivery lead or Release Train Engineer.
- BS/BA Degreepreferred.
- CSM/ACSM Certification or equivalent preferred.
- ICP-Client Certification or equivalent preferred.
- SAFe Certification preferred.
- Desire to work as a leader on a team.
- Able to quickly learn and utilize software tools.
- Proven experience successfully following an agile framework (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc.).
- Advanced skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
- Knowledge of other agile approaches (XP, Kanban) preferred.
- Experience leading multiple teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
