Overview
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Youth Camp Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and facilitating themed camps and interactive activities for youth. If you're passionate about creating enriching experiences for young minds and fostering a safe, engaging environment, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, coordinate, and execute the curriculum and activities for our Aggie Camp program, ensuring they are both educational and entertaining.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to youth counselors participating in the Aggie Camp summer program, fostering their development and ensuring adherence to program standards.
  • Uphold a safe and hygienic environment for all participants, adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
  • Manage inventory and keep supplies organized, ensuring efficient and effective utilization of resources.
  • Implement and oversee risk management strategies to ensure the well-being of all participants during camp activities.
  • Cultivate enduring relationships with youth and their families, serving as a point of contact and support throughout their camp experience.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the camp program.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Education, Recreation, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in organizing and facilitating youth programs, camps, or educational activities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both youth and adults.
  • Demonstrated the ability to work collaboratively with youth from diverse backgrounds, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Proficiency in creative problem-solving, with the capacity to adapt to unexpected challenges and find innovative solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):
  • Proficient in teaching a variety of skills, including but not limited to:
    • LEGO SPIKE Prime and WEDO Robotics
    • Basic cooking techniques
    • Crafting and creative arts
    • Other related educational activities
  • Ability to develop and implement engaging curriculum and activities that cater to the diverse interests and learning styles of youth participants.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to adjust program content and delivery based on participant feedback, changing circumstances, or unexpected challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with youth, parents/guardians, and fellow staff members.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and risk management strategies relevant to youth programs and activities.
  • Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where all participants feel valued and respected.
