After School Student Mentor

It's preferred to have new hires for the Strategic Kids After School Student Mentor position start working on Monday, April 1.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Strategic Kids After School Student Mentors help elementary students with their homework, understanding concepts, and time management After School. Each Student Mentor will work with up to ten students at an elementary school located in Orange. Games will also be used to motivate students with fun goal-setting challenges to make homework time successful.

WORK SCHEDULE OPTIONS
✓ Work two to four days per week!
✓ M, T, W, & Th (2:25pm - 4:25pm)
✓ M & T or W & Th (2:25pm - 4:25pm)
✓ W (12:35pm - 2:35pm) & Th (2:35pm - 4:35pm)

EXPERIENCE
Strategic Kids After School Student Mentors must enjoy being around children and have experience working or volunteering with children, such as babysitting or helping in classrooms.

CHARACTER TRAITS
Strategic Kids hires staff that are positive, joyful, flexible, responsible, on-time, and willing to drive to their assigned school site(s).

REQUIREMENTS
✓ 18 years old or older
✓ Speak English
✓ Being bilingual in any language is also a huge plus!
✓ Have a current driver's license and your own vehicle (car) to drive to assigned school(s)
✓ Live within 15 miles from assigned school(s) in Orange County
✓ Pass Live Scan Fingerprints through Dept. of Justice (paid for by Strategic Kids)
✓ Work assigned schedule or any modifications

ABOUT STRATEGIC KIDS
Strategic Kids hires and trains energetic and creative people and places them in K-12 public schools to work as K-12 Support Staff/Paraeducators at schools from Mission Viejo to San Clemente to meet the various needs of schools and districts.
