About us

Skyhawks Sports provides a safe, non-competitive environment to teach sports to kids ages 4 to 14. Our programs are designed to give each participant a positive introduction into sports and ensure they walk away with a smile on their face wanting to learn more. Our patient and knowledgeable staff use a variety of games and activities to give each athlete an overview of the sport while building valuable skills. Since 1979, Skyhawks has taught over two million kids LIFE SKILLS THROUGH SPORTS. We offer Baseball, Basketball, Cheerleading, Flag Football, Golf, Lacrosse, Mini-Hawk, Soccer, Tennis, Track and Field, and Volleyball.

SuperTots Sports programs are a great opportunity for kids ages 2-4 to get out and play in a fun, preschool-based sports environment. We focus on child development skills like listening, following directions, sharing, waiting turns, as well as colors, numbers, shapes, sizes and more. We do it all with a ball – Baseball, Basketball, and Soccer. We love teaching both preschool skills and sports skills. We can't wait to PLAY!

DUTIES

• Plan and implement engaging sports and educational activities for children in a program setting while teaching life skills and sports skills
• Provide supervision and ensure the safety and well-being of all participants
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment for children to learn, play, and grow
• Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a structured and organized program
• Collaborate with Area Manager to implement age-appropriate sports curriculum
• Monitor and assess the progress of each child, providing feedback and support as needed
• Communicate regularly with site coordinators and Area Manager regarding child's participation, progress and program goals

EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in childcare, sports coaching, or education is highly preferred
• Multi-sport experience highly preferred
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
• Experience working with students in a classroom/gym/group setting
• Strong behavior management skills to effectively handle challenging situations
• Ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment for children
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with children and staff members

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Background check required upon hire (company paid)
• Reliable transportation required
• First Aid and CPR certification required upon hire (company paid)
• Must be 18 years old by hire date
• Adaptable, Self-motivated, Energetic, Encouraging, Confident, Responsible and Patient

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
