After School Program Instructor

Position Description: We are seeking enthusiastic & passionate After-School Program Instructors to join our team. As an instructor, you will work with the Youth Programs Director to lead and facilitate Salt Pump’s After-School Programming aimed at providing climbers of varying skill levels, aged 5 - 14, with climbing skill development and a fun, engaging experience.

Desired Applicant Attributes: An interest in climbing is a must, but skill level is far less important than your enthusiasm and dedication to the delivery of great service.

Applicants for this position should:

• Be friendly, caring, and kind.
• Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
• Be able to actively manage & engage groups of 4-6 climbers of varying skill levels
• Have a safety oriented mindset
• Enjoy working with children under 14 years old – experience working with this age-group is preferred.
• Plan to have FUN! Salt Pump’s After-School programs are a place for fun, making friends, and trying new things. We expect our Instructors to foster a fun and positive atmosphere.

Position Details: Instructors should be available to work one or more weekday afternoons Youth programming hours are 3:45 - 6:15pm, instructors should be available for the 15 minutes before & after programming. After-School Programming is broken up into four 8-9 week quarters. Instructors should be able to commit to working the duration of the quarter.

Compensation: Hourly rate starting at $15/hour increasing after one quarter. Salt Pump Membership & pro-deals included.

We’re looking to hire up to 10 individuals in this position.
