Position Summary
This position is responsible for proactively controlling, monitoring and managing high-profile and high maintenance accounts. The Account Coordinator will process and verify account documentation and establish new accounts.
Hours of work are Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm, must be willing to work on-site in the Plymouth, MI office daily.
Key Responsibilities (Supervisory/Materials/Information)
- Process and verify account documentation
- Establish all new account system profiles
- Update and confirm current account documentation on a continual basis
- Assist in the management and maintenance of annual client blanket USMCA
- Provide service information and general rate quotations to prospective and existing customers
- Ensure all applicable fees are being applied to customer database
- Develop and manage customer facing reports
- Manage all sub-broker partnership relationships
- Process and maintain all annual customs continuous bond renewals and billings
- Update and maintain Kewill client product databases with all applicable Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) and Partner Government Agency (PGA) Coding
- Perform other duties and other functions as assigned
Education and Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of Customs Brokerage, Freight Forwarding experience desired
- High school diploma, Associates Degree or equivalent
Competencies, Working Skills & Attributes
- Very strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially with Excel
- Must have a very strong attention to detail
- Must be self-start who can work productively with minimal supervision
- Must be outgoing and possess strong customer service skills
- Must have good organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Must have good communication and writing skills

- Sitting for prolonged periods of time focusing on computer monitor
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
- Must be comfortable working in a fast paced, high activity environment
- Able to operate standard business machines including photocopiers, scanners, faxes, telephones, printers, etc.
