Position Description


The After-School Program Coordinator is responsible for leading Valor's After-School Progam at our new San Antonio campus. Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning effective program activities that reflect Valor's educational vision
  • Establishing program culture that reflects the culture of the school as a whole
  • Maintaining high expectations for student behavior
  • Generating a strong pool of after-school teacher candidates
  • Hiring hourly after-school teachers/assistants in collaboration with supervisor
  • Developing pipelines for hiring after-school teachers through local colleges, universities, and other organizations
  • Managing the program's budget (including payroll and operating expenses) effectively and responsibly

  • Cultivating strong, positive relationships with parents

The Coordinator will report to the Assistant Head of School. This position will be part time, in the range of 1/2 time to 3/4 time. Projected hours for the Coordinator are 3pm to 6:15 pm M-F with additional planning and preparation hours from office and/or home.
