Your Potential Impact (Key Responsibilities)
- Offer supervision for a cohort of children aged 3 to 10, including the organization of after-school schedules, routines, and activities.
- Maintain the safety of Magellan students.
- Ensure a physically and emotionally safe and healthy environment for students.
- Create a culturally inclusive classroom with activities that support different cultures and backgrounds.
- Lead and supervise play activities, games, sports, and creative projects.
- Enforce safety and security standards for children and visitors.
- Follow all school rules and policies in the Magellan Employee Handbook.
- Keep accurate records for student check-in and check-out.
- Complete other duties as assigned.

- High School graduate or GED equivalent.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Part-time availability Monday through Friday from 3-6pm (flexible schedule).
- You are a team player with a positive, service-oriented attitude and can work well with others.
- You leverage people’s differences as strengths.
These qualifications would be a big plus (Preferred Qualifications)
- Related education and/or experience in childhood development.
- Prior experience working with young children is preferred.
- Some college coursework or a Bachelor’s Degree.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
Work Environment
This position operates in a school setting and professional office. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and requires lifting up to 50lbs, bending, standing, and stooping. This job operates both indoors and outdoors.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
A criminal history background check will be required for finalist(s) under consideration for this position. Applicants who are ultimately hired by MIS will have their background check expenses reimbursed.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
If hired, you will be required to complete the federal Employment Eligibility Verification form, I-9. You will be required to present acceptable and original documents to prove your identity and authorization to work in the United States. Documents need to be presented no later than the third day of employment. Failure to do so will result in loss of employment at the school.
