Seeking an EXPERIENCEDPRESCHOOL COOK to join our team at The PREP School of Stone Oak! Previous experience in a childcare setting preferred.

This position is responsible for preparing breakfast, hot lunch and snacks for our students. Hours are 6:30am to 3:30pm with an hour lunch break.
Key Responsibilities include planning and preparation of meals, weekly ordering and inventory of food items, the ability to follow budgetary guidelines, meet requirements of all applicable regulatory agencies, uphold an orderly, safe and clean kitchen area at all times, including the proper maintenance of equipment. Previous Experience Required.
Key Requirements:
o Previous experience in quantity food preparation is preferred.
o Assists in creating menus according to USDA and CACFP nutrition guidelines
o Responsible for ordering food for the school and maintaining budgetary guidelines
o Upholds an orderly, safe, and clean kitchen area at all times, including the proper maintenance of equipment.
o Ability to drive a school vehicle to fulfill shopping needs of the school, assist with bus runs and/or field trip driving if necessary.
o Previous Work History in a Licensed Childcare Facility is Preferred
o Food Manager Certificate (or ability to obtain )
o HS Diploma/GED
o 18 Years or Over
o Ability to pass a Background Check
