Aesthetic Registered Nurse

We are seeking an Aesthetic Registered Nurse for our oculofacial surgery practice (Oculofacial Plastic Surgery of Hawaii). We treat patients with cosmetic and functional concerns of the eyelids, face, tear ducts, and orbit. We perform a broad range of facial surgeries and non-surgical procedures (i.e. botulinum toxin injections, fillers, chemical peels, PRP, and laser skin rejuvenation).

The ideal candidate must be caring, professional, self-motivated, a quick learner, good at multi-tasking, a good problem solver, and interested in aesthetics and skin care. You will play an important role in providing patient-centered care with the highest level of customer service and will join a team that is hard-working, fun, and passionate about our work.

Dr. Bradford Lee was formerly a professor at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute / University of Miami School of Medicine (rated the #1 eye hospital in the USA) and is currently an Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine. You will work closely with him and the entire team, and he will teach you to assist in surgery, perform non-surgical aesthetic procedures, and develop into a confident and competent oculoplastics nurse by working with a world class team.

Hours: Full-Time or Part-Time

Location:

• Queens POB 1, 1380 Lusitana Street, Honolulu, HI 96813 (Office)

• Liliha Medical Building, 1712 Liliha Street, Suite 400, Honolulu, HI 96817 (Surgery Center)

Essential Duties:

• Perform laser procedures using different laser platforms.

• Perform chemical peels.

• Perform Botox and dermal filler injections.

• Function as a circulating and recovery nurse.

• Assist with PRP injections.

• Assist with surgeries in office and at the ASC under supervision of Dr. Lee.

• Evaluate follow-up patients, both in-office and via telemedicine, by taking medical histories, performing examinations, and ordering laboratory tests and imaging under Dr. Lee’s guidance.

• Perform cosmetic evaluations and develop cosmetic treatment plans for aesthetic procedures and skin care

• Perform pre-operative and post-operative patient counseling for oculoplastic procedures.

• Remove sutures during post op appointments.

• Touch bases with post-op patients the day after surgery

• Other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

• At least 3 years of experience in medical aesthetics, dermatology, or plastic surgery.

• At least 3 year of experience with lasers, chemical peels, Botox, and/or filler injections.

• Current Registered Nurse license

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Education

• This position requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
