We are currently hiring an Experienced Aerospace Quality Inspector at our CNC machine shop in Phoenix, AZ.
You will have typical Aerospace Quality Inspection job duties to include:
- Receives and inspects outside vendor parts for compliance with required process, certification, and any other required paperwork. Documents and reports on all discrepancies.
- Inspects purchased parts, assemblies, accessories, and raw materials for conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments and devices: Examines items for defects in materials, work, and damage occurring in transit.
- Performs in-process inspections per documented requirements and reports on all discrepancies.
- Prepares Inspection Discrepancy Report as required.
- Performs source inspections as requested by customers and completes all associated documentation.
- Compares the completed product with parts list, drawings, blueprints, customer purchase order, customer specifications, and/or sample model to ensure that the product meets customer expectations. Verifies specified dimensions of product or material. Prepares and completes Detailed Inspection Plan (DIP).
- Performs first article inspections and completes all associated documentation.
- Assist in writing and updating inspection procedures, protocols, and checklists.
- Prepare inspection procedure outlines for reference use in subsequent inspections, using data obtained from blueprints, customer specifications, and procurement text.
- Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective actions.
- Must keep work area clean at all times.
- Use Discuss software to complete inspection reports.
- Stay on top of calibration logs and anything to keep up with ISO certification.
Requirements:
- You must have at least 3+ years of experience doing dimensional tolerance inspection of Aerospace products preferred.
- Must have the ability to read blueprints, interpret work instructions, experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is a plus, but not required.
- ISO experience is preferred.
- Discuss software knowledge is a HUGE plus. This is something that will need to be used daily, but is something we can train on if needed.
- Keyence CMM experiences a plus but is not required to start. Will need to learn it to complete some inspections.
- Must work well with others.
- You must have outstanding punctuality and attendance.
- You must be able to work Monday - Friday first shift plus overtime as needed.
