Position: Aerospace Machine Shop Manager
Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and inspire a team of machinists and operators to achieve production goals and maintain a positive working environment.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members for skill development and performance improvement.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the Machine Shop, ensuring smooth workflow and timely completion of projects.
- Develop and implement production schedules, balancing priorities to meet customer demands.
- Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of precision and quality in all machined parts.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address and resolve any issues related to product quality.
- Optimize resource allocation, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to maximize efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Monitor and control expenses to meet budgetary guidelines.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements, recommending and implementing relevant improvements.
- Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and provide training to team members on safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.

- Strong knowledge of machining processes, CNC programming, and tooling.
