Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for executing the build as represented in the build prints and per the customer requirements.
- Will calculate the unspecified dimensions along with laying out designs using various materials.
- Will establish and coordinate reference points and tooling holes by using straightedges and measuring.
- Lead be part of the team that fits and assembles tooling components for Aerospace customers.
- Does repairs and rework on tools as needed.
- Will draw and prepare sketches for the fabrication department as needed.
- May need to operate machines including lathes, Bridgeports, lathes and grinders as needed.
- Additional job duties as assigned.
Skills and Competencies:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Fixture builder in the Aerospace industry.
- Knowledge of geometric tolerances
- Fiberglass layup experience preferred
- Experience with Catia V5 and Enovia a plus
- Able to read and understand blueprints
- Good math, verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organization and follow up skills
- Must understand deadlines and how they impact the overall business
- Experience with ISO 9001 and AS91000 Quality standards desired
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
