SAIC is seeking an Aeronautical Data Specialist to assist the Government Aeronautical Information Services Specialist in maintaining procedural and non-procedural data. The candidate will also assist the Instrument Procedure Specialist and Aeronautical Information Services Specialist in its mission to create, maintain, and distribute Aeronautical Data, charts, Army Airfield Obstruction Surveys, and associated products for IFPs and Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) Visual Flight Rules (VFR) AAF/AHP facilities.
This is a 100% remote work from home position.
Job Duties:
- Review aeronautical information/publications when released to confirm that air navigation information and technical data content is accurate and correct. Initiate corrective action where discrepancies are discovered and, if necessary, accomplish amendment(s) for affected procedure(s).
- Assist in analyzing and maintaining aeronautical information as well as foundational data, as needed in support of the TERPS specialist.
- Evaluate and process incoming aeronautical source information and/or base/topographic information/airfield surveys source data. Applying SOPs, specifications, orders, and other guidance to update Aeronautical Data.
- Revise/maintain aeronautical information within FAA and NGA data sets based on analysis, evaluation, andprocessing of authorized source information.
- Assist in analyzing and maintaining air navigation charts and related publications support data maintenance and publication processes for FLIP using the Aeronautical Infonnation (AI) Portal.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree and five (5) years of experience; 4 more years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Required Security Clearance:
Active Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
Target salary range: $85,001 - $95,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
