Job description

The technician must be experienced working in a utility aerial lineman position. The Aeriel Construction Lineman will perform tasks involving aerial and ground telecommunications work at construction/service sites. The position may require operating aerial trucks and associated equipment.

Applicants must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, lift 80 lbs. repeatedly and be able to stand, lift and bend on a regular basis. The ideal candidate has the ability to travel within 1-3-hour radius.

Responsibilities: This position is responsible for the following tasks: Perform construction of fiber optic and coaxial plant This includes new build and repair/replacement of active plant. Maintain minimum benchmarks on client and company performance metrics. Help with field training of new employees who are going through the company training program.

Carry out all work performed in the safest possible manner, following all internal safety guidelines and requirements. Maintain all assigned assets such as test meter, safety equipment, ladders etc. Manage, track, and organize client equipment and small parts.

Must be able to account for the usage of all equipment. Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle. Ensure all routine maintenance is completed in a timely manner and any problems with vehicles are immediately reported to local management.

Carry out all work performed in the safest manner possible, following all internal safety guidelines and requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Founded in 2002, AM Communications is a rapidly growing, telecommunications company with a footprint across the U.S.

holding prime contracts for large MSO's. Requirements Must have the proper training to perform utility aerial lineman work. Must have a valid driver's license and meet AM Communications MVR qualifications.

Ability to pass a nationwide background check, drug screen, and DOT physical. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Cable and bucket truck experience preferred. Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this job. Frequent walking, standing, sitting within the work area.

Must be able to lift/push/pull/carry up to 80 pounds. Must be able to work in various weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, and dry) Have physical strength, endurance, and work well with your hands.
