Advertising Sales Representative

New York Family Media (a division of Schneps Media) is the number one print and digital media platform for engaged parents in the New York City metro area and beyond. We are seeking an experienced Advertising Sales Representativeto develop and build new relationships and sponsors for our print and digital publications in our Brooklyn and Staten Island markets.The pay for this position is a base salary, plus commission.

Advertising Sales Representative Responsibilities:

• Prospect, contact and close new advertisers for our digital and print publications
• Working directly with clients to develop and nurture relationships to understand their advertising needs
• Create proposals based on needs of clients to fulfill digital and print advertising needs
• Upsell existing customers to higher visibility recurring, seasonal, and content marketing programs
• Prospect specific opportunities for larger sales team initiatives
• Ensure there is a smooth sales process for clients.
• Timely and accurate tracking of all sales activity in CRM
• Manage customer relationships and post-sales advertising content and statistics
• Meet print, digital and event revenue goals

Advertising Sales Representative Job Requirements:

• Goal oriented, persuasive, persistent and hard worker
• Excellent organizational, written & verbal communications skills and can interact effectively with a wide range of people.
• Experience with outbound sales, cold calling and digital marketing
• A self-motivated individual able to work independently and as a part of a team.
• Have a keen attention to detail
• Must be digitally savvy with proficient computer skills
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• At least 1-2 years of sales experience preferred
• Use of a car and a valid driver's license and use of a car to attend meetings, prospect client and to attend networking events
• Must live in Brooklyn or Staten Island have easy access to Brooklyn and Staten Island; knowledge of markets is a must
• The daily in person requirement is a combination of remote/ hybrid

Pay: $50,000.00 per year
