Asuragen is seeking an experienced scientist with a life science bachelor’s degree who can work as part of our clinical laboratory team. This position will reside within our CAP-accredited CLIA-licensed operation group and primarily be responsible for executing high-complexity molecular diagnostic testing for our clients, clinicians and pharmaceutical partners. Platforms used in our laboratory include quantitative real-time PCR, digital PCR, capillary electrophoresis, and next-generation sequencing.
What You’ll Do
- Contribute to the success of clinical laboratory by performing molecular genetic testing and with few to no errors.
- With minimal supervision, perform assigned testing, complete documentation, and produce high quality results.
- Participate in laboratory environment, maintenance, and instrumentation activities.
- Contribute to activities for new test offerings and some test development activities.
- Communicate effectively within the team, department, and interdepartmentally.
- Manage daily laboratory tasks such as inventory and procurement.
- Cross-train to learn sample accessioning and current test offerings.
- Remain compliant with all laws and regulations associated with testing clinical specimens.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement, including submitting deviations in our Quality System.

- A minimum of 3 years of previous laboratory experience required.
- Previous experience with PCR, qPCR, ELISAs, and/or NGS preferred.
