Responsibilities

Ascension Saint Agnes is looking for a non-surgical Advanced Practice Provider for our Breast Center

 

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Saint Agnes to provide medical services to patients in our outpatient Breast Center

 

Position Highlights:

  • Work alongside experienced breast surgeons with nurse navigator support
  • Be a part of an interdisciplinary team that includes primary care, women's health, plastic surgery, oncology, imaging, gastroenterology and more
  • Facilitate high-risk genetic testing program
  • Provide care for all types of breast issues, from benign to malignant

Responsibilities:

 

  • Obtain patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview and examination.
  • Orders, perform and interprets diagnostic studies.
  • Performs pre-surgical and post-surgical care.
  • Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions and assists with the set-up of at-home care and community resources. 
  • Documents delivery of health care and processes in accordance with specific standards of care. 
  • Counsel and educate patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health and treatment options. 
  • Collaborates with other departments including primary care, women's health, oncology, gastroenterology, imaging, plastic surgeons and breast surgeons.

Requirements

Licensure/Certification/Registration:


Required Credential(s):
• Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office.


Preferred Credential(s):
• Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration. Verified by local Credentialing Office.

 

Education:
• Master's degree of Nursing required.

Additional Preferences

Experience in women's health or breast health is preferred but will train the right candidate.
