Honeywell Aerospace is a leading global provider ofintegrated avionics, engines, systems and service solutions for aircraftmanufacturers, airlines, business and general aviation, military, space andairport operations.
Engine Systems and Component Analysis (ESCA) is a Center ofExcellence responsible and accountable for the engineering design, analysis, development, certification and support of structural and mechanical systemscomponents for all Aerospace power system products.
ESCA is responsible for ensuring the mechanical integrity ofthe structural parts used on gas turbine engines. These responsibilities include the design, development, testing, and field support of static structure components whichmust meet requirements for life, cost, weight, maintainability, anddurability. The engineer must addressstress, strength, vibration, heat transfer, deflection, fatigue life, containment, material selection, etc. in evaluating parts. Honeywell is hiring two Advanced Mechanical Design Engineers for the Engine StructuresGroup at our Phoenix, AZ facility.
Job Duties:
Perform analysis and validation testing of static structuralcomponents for gas turbine engines. Specificcomponents include turboshaft and turbofan engine structures such as: engine mounts, inlet frames, compressor stators, engine cases, shrouds, uncooled turbinenozzles, bearing housings, accessory gearbox and external components.
The scope of work includes creation and developmentof sound design solutions for newly proposed and existing products. Analyticalresults will be presented in design reviews and with appropriate documentationto meet program deliverables and requirements. Applicant must work effectivelywith design teams, global support and chief engineers. Responsibilities also include workingproductivity initiatives to advance the current state of the art and establishstandardized processes for criteria, guidelines and practices.
