When FilledPosition: Temporary Advanced Mathematics Teacher / Full-time (1.00FTE)
Primary Purpose
Under the direct supervision of the Principal and/or Assistant Principal, the Advanced Math Teacher will provide instruction in high school/Advanced Math and implement District approved curriculum. The Teacher will provide a positive learning environment and effective instruction, document student progress, activities and outcomes while providing feedback to students, guardians and Administration. Candidates should be collaborative and experienced in building positive relationships with students and colleagues. Teacher will also perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education/Certification
- Valid Oregon teaching license with endorsement in Advanced Mathematics
- Must be Highly Qualified per ESSA
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university, Master's preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Possess the ability to advance students through all levels of math
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Use of technology for learning management and instruction
Experience
- Experience in teaching preferred, but not required
Salary: Annual Salary Range: $49,771 - $96,456 (Prorated dependent upon start date)
Initial placement on salary schedule is based on education and experience.
Salary will be based on number of contracted days and education/experience level
