Overview

The Advanced Lapping Operator is responsible for setting up and operating conventional machine tools used to lap company product to customer specifications. Introduction to advanced print reading and inspection methodology. Inspect produced company product using typical measuring equipment. The Advance Lapping Operator should be detail oriented and capable of maintaining process documentation with precision. The Operator would be responsible for producing product, inspecting using typical measuring equipment, and recording data on all required documents.

Responsibilities
  • Ability to set up and operate lapping machines
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion
  • Ability to hold close tolerance on size, flatness, finish etc. on a variety of parts
  • Ability to load and unload equipment and materials
  • Ability to move parts to the next operation in the production process
  • Ability to ensure the product is defect-free and ready for the next step in production
  • Ensure the product is defect-free and ready for the next step in production.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor, team lead, or the production manager

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
  • Read and communicate in English
  • Read and comprehend drawings and geometric tolerances
  • Work well with others in a team building environment
  • Work in a safe, efficient, and timely manner
  • Keep the work area clean and organized, including the machines
  • Identify area for process improvement, cost, and waste reduction
  • Know where all the controls are located
  • Understanding the use of all appropriate safety guards
  • Be able to lift the minimum of 35 pounds
  • Must pass pre-employment drug and background investigation.

  • Citizen of the United States, or

  • Protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)

Salary: $21.02 to 23.36 per hour
