Responsibilities:
In this position, the Respiratory Therapist will perform complex respiratory procedures. Participate with physicians, nurses, and other staff in planning respiratory treatment, with great reliance on the individual's knowledge of the equipment. Provide emergency or critical respiratory care.
Qualifications:
- Must have an Associates Degree
- Must possess certification as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Must have one year of experience (within the last 3 years) Respiratory Therapist
- Must possess a Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Must have a BLS Certification-American Heart Association
- NICU RTs will maintain current Neonatal Resuscitation Program training and current S.TA.B.L.E training (Sugar & Safe Care, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, and Emotional Support).
