The Four Seasons Hotel Chicago is looking for a PM Restaurant Manager for Adorn Bar & Restaurant who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do.
We are looking for an energetic, experienced leader with excellent interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, have a passion for service and hospitality. Applicants will be a willing team player, comfortable with computer systems and willing to accept assignments on as need basis, in order to promote team work. Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
Assist the General Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operation of restaurant
Write the weekly staff schedule. Schedule labor as required by anticipated business activity while ensuring that all positions are staffed when, and as needed, and that labor cost objectives are met
Maintain a consistent level of business for the restaurant ensuring that its budgeted targets are met
Identify and manage all aspects pertinent to providing guests with the atmosphere standard set by management upon opening (lighting, music volume, crowd density, etc.)
Conduct pre-shift meetings keeping staff informed about developments in the restaurant, the industry and the future
Organize and lead staff training classes and food & wine tastings
Ensure continuous improvement in quality of service, operational effectiveness, and employee retention and satisfaction
Support FOH team in all aspects of dining room service
May assist in other Food and Beverage outlets as needed
Contribute to our environment with a positive and friendly attitude
Communicate with team members to ensure the highest level of personalized service
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
We are looking for individuals who have a thorough knowledge of food and beverage operation, excellent leadership skills and strong interpersonal skills.
Applicants are required to have one to two years previous employment in a related position.
A college degree is preferred.
Required to hold a current Illinois Food Handlers Certificate and be TiPS certified.
Strong command of the English language
Requires attention to detail and problem-solving skills, as well as a passion for customer service.
US work authorization is required unless candidate is currently in a managerial position at a Four Seasons location. Current Four Seasons managers may qualify for L-1 visa sponsorship.
