Rogers - Oconomowoc campus is looking for a Therapeutic Specialist (Behavioral Health Tech/Undergraduate Therapist) to work in our Inpatient Mental Health Recovery Adolescent program! Here, you will provide structured group treatments, using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to provide the best outcomes for your patients.
- Grow your skills and knowledge of Mental Health by working with different age ranges and a variety of diagnoses.
- Gain supervision hours and obtain training for SAC-IT – great position for new graduates.
- Detailed and thorough paid-training from day 1 before obtaining caseload.
- Work in a unique multidisciplinary team including Nursing, Psychiatrist, Discharge Planner and Intake to come together on best care for the patient.
Schedule:
- 8am to 4:30pm
- 2 week schedule including weekend and holiday rotation
- 24 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Lead 4 group sessions of approximately 8-10 patients daily utilizing established models.
- Accurate and timely documenting of group sessions.
- Crisis intervention and de-escalation of patients during group setting.
- Professionalism and confidence in speech, presentation of self and interactions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required preferably in Psychology, Human Services, or related field.
- Experience providing group therapy or leading in a group setting strongly preferred (Example: camp counselor, ABA therapy groups, teacher’s aide, etc.)
- Certified Substance Abuse Counselor, Substance Abuse Counselor, or Substance Abuse Counselor in Training (CSAC, SAC, SAC-IT) within 90 days of hire with company provided training.
- Valid Wisconsin Drivers license preferred.
- Must pass pre-employment background and drug screen.
