Located in Malvern, Pa, The Admissions Specialist provides a variety of admissions and administrative support functions for the daily operation of the offices of the Devereux PA – Children’s Behavioral Health Services.

40 hrs a week, 9am-5p except for one day which will be 11am-7pm.
Rate of $20.54 - $23.41 an hour dependent upon experience.

Some of your daily responsibilities :
Handles initial inquiries regarding programs and referrals. Answers telephones, explains admissions processes to include required documentation, and links internal and external customers in facilitating admissions processes.
Contacts referral sources and/or families to schedule interviews, evaluations, tours, and/or admissions for programs.
Maintains accurate computer systems data for intakes, discharges and authorizations. Completes required fields in system and enters initial authorization(s) into system once admission has taken place.
Reviews referral packets, verifies insurance benefits and other funding streams, and obtains authorizations. When funding indicates, performs/facilitates the pre-certification activities and enters appropriate data in computer system. Maintains computer systems data related to admission processes as assigned.
Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), residential treatment (RTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.

Qualifications
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma. Associates Degree in related field preferred. Must possess current, valid driver's license.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years experience working in admissions, clerical/secretarial positions in front office health-care required.
