Job Description
Under the direction of the Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions, the Assistant Director is responsible for executing a recruitment strategy to attract new students from a specific geographic region (primarily South Jersey) to Saint Peter's University. The Assistant Director represents the University to students, parents, alumni and high school counselors in a variety of settings, both on and off campus. They are responsible for nurturing student interest and leads, with a high degree of customer service, from the point of initial contact through enrollment initial contact through the student's enrollment at the University.
Duties & Responsibilities
Primary Duties:
Represent Saint Peter's University at high school visits and college fairs/nights (both in and out of state) using a territory management model for domestic student recruitment and enrollment.Additionally, this position may work to assist with recruitment and enrollment of international students.
Create and manage personal work schedule; arranging travel, managing approved travel budget and tracking individual expensesRender admission decisions using set parameters and direction
Conduct data entry in CRM and student information systeConduct telecounseling, interviewing and in-person or virtual meetings with prospective students and their families
Understand and apply University policy and protocols to enrollment activities; ability to explain and effectively counsel students on these policies and protocolParticipate in professional development (internal, external, self-directed) in order to remain apprised of topics in higher education, secondary education and other sources that may impact admissions and enrollment at the Universit
Responsible for individual projects and assignments beyond the general duties of an assistant director/admission counselor.Other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Enrollment Management
Qualification Standards
0-2 years years of experience in a customer service or sales environmentA valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
Demonstrated ability to present information clearly an in an engaging manner to large and
small groups
Must be able to load and transport admissions materials weighing up to 30 lbs
Must be willing to commit to six to ten weeks of seasonal travel each year (local and distance) and in addition to set weekend/evening obligations (Open House programs and special events)Candidates must be eligible to work full-time in the United States.
Education
*Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

Working Conditions
*Full-time; 52 weeks per year. In addition to regular business hours, the person in this position must be able to be flexible around the needs of the University, which includes occasional evening and/or weekend hours.
