Job Description
Columbia Laboratories Inc is looking to fill an open administrative assistant position receiving and processing of samples in our Food & Environmental laboratory. This is a full-time position for an with the following duties and qualifications:
Duties:
- Greet customers, sample receipt, answer phones, data entry, report review and delivery.
- Receiving and logging samples into the laboratory information management system (LIMS).
- Efficiently produce, analyze, document and report results while maintaining the highest level of data quality.
- Proactive, troubleshoot, rapidly propose solutions, and/or seek help.
- Professionally handle the pressure of aggressive deadlines while maintaining data quality.
- Demonstrated organizational abilities and capable of successfully carrying out a variety of detailed tasks.
- File and scan documents.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned from time to time by the General Manager or Office Manager.
Education:
- High School graduate or GED.
Skills & Experience
- Superior customer service with minimum 1-year experience in customer service setting
- Minimum 6-12 months' experience in an office or lab setting.
- Minimum 1-year experience in customer service setting
- Must be 21 years of age
- Qualified applicants will possess excellent organizational skills,
- Intermediate MS office knowledge (especially Excel),
- Experience with Chain of Custody and invoicing.
- Prior experience using a multi-line IP phone system.
- Flexibility to perform duties in other areas as needed.
- Applicants with a background in chemistry and/or accounting will have priority.
- Able to lift 20 pounds and stand for an hour at a time.
