Administrator of Martha & Mary - Health Services

Poulsbo, WA

General Description

The role of the Administrator is to supervise, plan, develop, monitor and maintain appropriate standards of care throughout all department in the facility. The Administrator must have proficient communication, leadership, and business skills in order to be successful. The Administrator supervises the staffing department, the Director of Nursing, and oversees the supervisor of the nursing department, as well works most closely with the following internal staff to effectively meet customer needs: CFO, Director of HR, Director of Fund Development, MMCS Administrator, Director of Performance Excellence, and Director of Facilities, Board of Trustees, and Directors within MMHS as noted on Organizational Chart. The Main External Customer Contact will include: Residents, Family & Friends of Residents, Donors, Regulators, Volunteers, and Vendors

Wage:

$100,000 up to $125,000 annually based off applicable experience as determined by HR Director and the CEO


Some everyday duties and responsibilities you’ll do:

  • Creates and maintains an environment that translates the mission of MMHS into actions that are conducive to the maximum well-being of the residents and customers served.
  • Assures that services provided are of appropriate quality and are consistent with MMHS philosophical principles.
  • Facilitates coordination among all departments & divisions of MMHS in delivery of services to residents and customers.
  • Administers fiscal operations for Health Services. Participates as a member of the internal fiscal committee in operational and capital budget planning, accounting, and establishing rates for services.
  • Directs hiring, training and supervision of Health Services personnel. Actively coordinates MMHS efforts to positively impact employees through compensation, benefits, professional growth, wellness, safety, and worker's compensation programs,
  • Recommends improvement of and additions to buildings, furnishings and equipment; assuring that they are maintained in good and aesthetic condition.
  • Develops, recommends and implements policies and procedures as may be required to enhance the well-being of residents and employees.
  • Administers resident and employee problem resolution processes, taking necessary action to control or eliminate the recurrence of complaints, concerns and problems.
  • Interacts with federal, state & local government agencies that impact services, programs and licensing.
  • Represents MMHS at professional, allied health and community organizations, promoting positive public relations.
  • Participates in MMHS Board of Trustees meetings as directed by the C.E.O.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Masters Preferred
  • Experience as an Administrator or equivalent in healthcare setting
  • Must have active Washington Nursing Home License

  • Paid Time Off (PTO) is accrued at varying rates depending on length of employment. Accrual rates begin at 5.32 hours per month based on a 40-hour workweek. These accruals include the required sick leave per Washington State’s Paid Sick Leave Law
