Motion Picture Industry Pension & Health Plans is seeking anAdministrative Services Representative to support our Medical Review- MP3 Operations. The Representative will perform a wide range of clerical and secretarial tasks for the organization. This will include handling all correspondence incoming and outgoing within the Narrow Network. In addition, handling administrative requests and queries from managers and handling phone calls.
Responsibilities
• Receive fax/mail inquires
• Process referral requests
• Prepare letters regarding the approval/denial of referrals
• Gather medical documents from physicians for review
• Maintain confidentiality of information
• Distribute mail accordingly
• Review and correct returned mail
- Answering provider and participant referral inquiries by phone, email or Unity.
- Assist with provider onboarding (ie. Tracking applications, sending correspondence, and training)
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of clerical experience required
- Experience in medical field and/or health insurance preferred
- Experience in the Motion Picture Health Plan industry is a Plus
- Clear and effective oral and written communication
- Strict attention to detail, high level of accuracy
- Ability to learn quickly and follow directions precisely
- Ability to handle fast-paced work and meet deadlines
- Ability to prioritize work, follow through to completion, and deal well with changing priorities
- Good interpersonal skills; able to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Ability to accept direction and developmental guidance from supervisor
- A flexible team player with a helpful attitude
- Intermediate knowledgeable in PC skills, including Windows; MS Word, PowerPoint and MS Excel
- Excellent attendance and reliability with the ability to work overtime/extended hours as required.
