Required Experience:
- High School diploma, Preferred Associate Degree or above
- Has experience with clerical work to include spreadsheets, communication with multiple agencies and good problem solving skills
- Knowledge of Special Education and IEP's a plus
- Clean driving record
- Must obtain and hold a Class B Minnesota Driver's License with Passenger and School Bus endorsements
- Act as liasion between Special Education Staff and District Transportation Staff in an effort to create accurate data ans a flawless student experience.
- Process student requests daily by monitoring all forms of communication
- Data entry as appropriate in SPED forms, Infinite Campus, and Versatrans
- Enhance student data by adding appropriate notes to all records
- Ensure data accuracy by verifying data source and populating appropriate fields within all software(s).
- Work with the HHM department to create smooth transitions into transportation for our HHM students. Participate in eligibility audit when asked
- maintain accurate student files by scanning appropriate information into appropriate software
- Ensure that every transportation request is processed (student riding the bus) in 5 days or less
- Process Care/Day Treatment requests, maintain accurate attendance data
- With every request verify ridership prior to the 5 day deadline to transport. If for some reason we cannot accomplish the 5 days to transport inform all stakeholders of the timeline and reasoning for the delay.
- Verify all communication circles have been accomplished for each and every request
- Drive school bus or van as needed- paid training provided
- First review of progress towards endorsements in the first 30 days from hire date.
- Second review of progress towards CDL license in the first 90 days from hire date.
- License ideally obtained within the first 6 months from hire date.
