Full Time Administrative Assistant:
We are looking for a Full-Time Administrative Assistant to join our team at Brooks & Associates CPA’s Inc. Here at Brooks & Associates there is a work environment that is meant for our employees to thrive, grow, and learn as much as they desire. With competitive benefit packages, pay rates, and paid Friday’s off in the summer, we are dedicated to employee retention. Our company is built on the relationships with our clients, so the role of the Administrative Assistant is more than just answering phones and helping where necessary; it is maintaining and building current and new relationships between our clients and our staff.
Our administrative assistant will be known to our clients as “the face of the company.” You will be the point of contact for our clients to get in touch with the professionals necessary at Brooks & Associates CPAs for all their needs. This position will also oversee scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars.
The top three attributes that we are looking for in our candidates for this position are:
- A positive attitude.
A positive attitude is a must! We need someone who will greet clients via phone or in the office with a smile and/or a pleasant manner. As well as effectively communicating with memos & emails to clients and other employees!
- Ability to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.
As we are entering tax season, the firm will be in busy mode! We need an Administrative Professional who can give attention to detail, keep up with tasks as they come, as well as learn the systems/processes while using them. (With support!)
A big part of learning and working in a fast-paced environment is being a problem solver. We are looking for someone who can not only ask questions when necessary, but also answer questions when necessary.
Lastly, our fast-paced environment requires a team that supports each other, to ensure that the office is running smoothly and efficiently. This position will need a self-motivated individual, who can work independently as well as with others as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
The right person for this role must be familiar with the Microsoft software required for day-to-day tasks and responsibilities. Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are commonly used tools for this position.
We would like our admin to have some knowledge of QuickBooks as well - but are not opposed to training on how to use the software either!
