Since 1967, Deibel Laboratories has operated several private food testing facilities providing services in both Microbiology and Chemistry testing. We play an integral role in food and product safety for industry-leading producers, as well as family run operations much like our own.

Our location in Twin Falls, ID is currently looking to hire a full-time Administrative Manager (Administrative/Office) (40 hours/week plus benefits included).

We offer a competitive salary based upon knowledge and experience. This position includes full health benefits for self and family (employer pays for 100% of employee premiums and 50% of dependents on our base plan). Deibel also offers a self-funded dental plan, vision plan, and 401K option along with profit sharing.

Compensation
: Starting hourly rates $17 - $19 DOE plus a competitive benefits package.

Schedule:

Tuesday - Saturday 9AM - 5:30PM


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the administrative activities of the facility.
  • May conduct or assist with discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Mentor associates including conflict resolution, having difficult conversations, and conducting or participating in various disciplinary actions when necessary to course correct associate behaviors.
  • Organize, coordinate, and participate in meetings, appointments, and candidate interviews.
  • Manage the staffing needs and scheduling of the associates in the facility with the assistance and input of the Technical Lab Manager or Shared Services Team
  • Assist with onsite new hire onboarding and correct and complete required paperwork, new hire orientation, scheduling of drug screenings if/when necessary.
  • Assist associates with troubleshooting login/registration issues to varies benefits portals, systems, and ADP.
  • Assist with and ensure New Hire and Annual reviews are performed.
  • Assist with challenges such as low morale, absenteeism, etc.
  • Organize team bonding, engagement, and moral boosting activities onsite such as potlucks, challenges, employee of the month, etc.
  • Prepare and set up meetings designed to help onsite associates obtain information and understand company policies, benefits, and other incentive programs.
  • Ensure onsite distribution of required associate benefit notices.
  • Preserve confidentiality of associate medical/other documentation and files.
  • Serves as the timekeeper for onsite associates, reviewing/approving time off requests, adjusting PTO, and coordinating with other management and Human Resources.
  • Receive and respond to onsite associate’s timecard corrections/reviewing and correcting timecard exceptions, missed punches in preparation for semi-monthly payroll processing and submission.
  • Internal and external Courier routes / schedules, car maintenance, and fleet management.
  • Perform or facilitate maintenance of office equipment including cleaning, minor maintenance, coordinating, and scheduling repairs.
  • Entering data accurately and efficiently into multiple systems.
  • Onsite problem solving, seeking, and finding solutions to situations that may arise, reacting quickly to help resolve issues.
  • Maintain flexibility to incorporate changing responsibilities to meet evolving lab needs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to type at least 60 words per minute.
  • Extensive knowledge of office management procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • 1 to 2 years previous experience in people management.
  • Must live within 30 miles of the lab - no relocation packages available

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, work independently and maintain confidentiality.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associates degree in office administration or related field a plus.
  • Candidate will be evaluation on experience over academic records.
  • At least three years of administrative and clerical/admin experience required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work is regularly performed in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
  • Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.
  • Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing, and typing.
