The Special District Group (SDG) is a team in Piper Sandler’s Public Finance practice that is dedicated to raising capital for public infrastructure for new development or redevelopment projects. We hold a dominate position in the Colorado and Utah markets and are actively growing into new markets nationwide with a demand for public infrastructure.

About This Critical Role – The Job
We are currently looking for an Administrative Assistant in Denver, Colorado.
The primary objective of this position is to provide high-level executive support to a number of senior team members with the Special District Group while also serving as the Denver office coordinator. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment; possesses the ability to navigate multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines with strong organizational skills; and displays a professional demeanor and appropriacy to interact with senior partners, clients, and colleagues. The ideal candidate is a great communicator with a strong work ethic who is interested in a meaningful role on a supportive team. The essential duties and responsibilities of this role include:
- Execute a broad variety of administrative tasks for multiple senior team members, including:
- Managing active calendars
- Arranging travel itineraries and agendas
- Compiling expense reports according to company policy utilizing Concur
- Maintain CRM database
- Manage and screen multiple team member phone lines
- Plan and coordinate internal and external meetings, dinners, celebrations and events
- Fulfill the role of Denver office coordinator managing the office space, computer/phone equipment, building access, office supplies and assist with courier services
- Maintain conference room, including calendars and communication with teams to ensure proper arrangements are made for meals and technology
- Front desk responsibilities including welcoming and attending to clients, guests, and employees promptly and courteously; always maintaining an upbeat and pleasant attitude
- Independently manages office-related projects and events, including planning and vendor management, and day-of set-up and pack down
- Assist with the on-boarding of new team members
- Provide back up support to other members of the SDG support team as required
- Perform any other duties and special projects as assigned
About The Ideal Candidates – You
- At least 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in the banking, finance, legal or professional services sectors
- Experience with Microsoft Office required, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Well organized, attention to detail while managing competing priorities and varying banker expectations
- Plans and organizes their own work by establishing clear tasks, confirming priorities, and using tools to organize time effectively, and keeps stakeholders informed of project/program status
- Ability to perform role accountabilities diplomatically and discretely
- Works cooperatively and sensitively with others, taking their needs, personalities, cultures, and styles into consideration
- Seeking an in-person role in a brand-new renovated downtown Denver location

The anticipated starting salary for Colorado-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $70,000 per year; this position is eligible for annual incentive compensation.
