POSITION: Administrative And Marketing AssistantEFFECTIVE DATE: 2024
REPORTS TO: Executive Director STATUS: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
SUMMARY: The Erie DAWN (Dwelling and Advocacy for Women in Need) Mission
Come join our team as an Administrative and Marketing Assistant at Erie DAWN! The primary responsibilities of the Administrative and Marketing Assistant are to support the Executive Director while spearheading various marketing, communication, and agency events. Key responsibilities include providing clerical support to the Executive Director, developing, and implementing marketing strategies across multiple platforms, crafting compelling fundraising materials, and managing all aspects of social media presence and the organizational website.
Additionally, this position will be responsible for establishing relationships with local media to expand the organization's reach and influence, assist with grant writing and help nurture the community partnerships to further the organization's objectives.
Once successfully trained, this position can work part-time remote unless duties or events require otherwise – Creates a great work/life balance!
Hours/Days can be flexible.
Hourly Rate $22-24/hr. depending on education and experience.
5 PTO/year, after successful completion of probationary period
Reports to the Executive Director
QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential Functions:
- Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director
- Develop and execute marketing strategies across various channels, including social media platforms and the organization's website.
- Create engaging fundraising materials to support fundraising efforts.
- Facilitate communication by scheduling meetings and drafting letters, press releases, and other correspondence as needed.
- Assist in preparing documents for Board meetings and provide support during meetings.
- Manage all social media platforms and maintain the organizational website.
- Promote events and activities through effective communication and engagement with stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
- Cultivate relationships with local media to expand the organization's visibility and reach.
- Support the planning and execution of fundraising events, special events, and community outreach activities.
- Coordinate logistics for events and provide on-site support to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in developing sponsorship opportunities and writing grant proposals.
- Establish and maintain community partnerships to support organizational goals.
- Input data into donor databases and generate letters of support as needed.
- Manage events and fundraising budgets, coordinating with vendors as necessary.
- Provide post-event reports and analysis to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Commitment to the mission and values of those we serve.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of administrative assistant and/or experience in the field of marketing with nonprofit organizations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized and driven
- Trustworthy
- Proficient in Microsoft programs.
- Experience in marketing tools and platforms including social media, Canva, Constant Contact, Firespring, etc.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team.
- Act 33/34 and FBI clearances will be required.
