Duties & Responsibilities:Assists with fiscal planning and manages inventory and purchasing Manages daily administrative operations for the UHMC Campus Health Center including resolving problems related to the day-to-day operations of the clinic Assists with grant writing and manages grant budgets and reports such as but not limited to the family planning grant Assist the campus in preparing for COVID-19 by using the campus Health Center supply chain in buying Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, etc. Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: Education and Professional Work Experience

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage patient flow and maintain records following Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) guidelines
- Maintains confidential patient files and is responsible for all office records management according to the HIPAA and Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) guidelines.
- Assists with the use, training, collection of information, compliance and maintenance of the Electronic Health Records systems
- Responsible for collecting, reviewing, clearing and filing of all student health clearance records for registration at University of Hawaii Maui College (UHMC) and assist Maui College incoming students with their health clearances as required by Hawaii State Law
- Ensures that all goods and services are purchased in compliance with Federal, State and University guidelines and procedures
- Reviews, reconcile and evaluates monthly budgets and financial reporting system reports for purchasing card (p-card), revolving, and grant accounts.
- Assists with fiscal planning, development and management of clinical budget, collects patient service fees and oversees patient insurance billing services.
- Responsible for purchasing and inventory management
- Assists in the accounting of all extramural funds
- Assists in the review and analysis of the budget
- ln conjunction with the Allied Health Fiscal Officer, developing and conducting a cost-analysis as needed for the Campus Health Center
- Handles large purchases required by the Allied Health Department, especially when vendors are shared by Health Center operations
- Assist the Clinic Administrator with hiring, scheduling and terminating employees
- Trains, reviews and supervises task assignments of student assistants who work in the office. The clinic administrator has sole supervisory authority over Medical Assistant (MA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), and Registered Nurse (RN) positions
- Possession of a baccalaureate degree and one (1) year of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for Managing a Healthcare Office; or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated.
- Functional knowledge of principles, practices and techniques in the area of Healthcare and or Office Management demonstrated by knowledge, understanding and ability to apply concepts, terminology.
- Functional knowledge and understanding of principles, theories, federal and state laws, rules, regulations and systems associated with Healthcare and or Office Management.
- Demonstrated ability to recognize problems, identify possible causes and resolve the full range problems that may commonly occur in the area of Health care and or Office Management.
- Demonstrated ability to understand oral and written documentation, write reports and procedures, and communicate effectively in a variety of situations.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, groups, team members and individuals.
- Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer and apply word processing software.
- General knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and protocol.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of personnel and fiscal administration.
- Knowledge of the theories, principles and practices of organization and management.
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and apply general administrative rules and regulations to a variety of work situations.
