Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) located in scenic Upstate NY is a multi-campus College with locations in Troy and Malta New York. Hudson Valley seeks experienced, dynamic, capable, creative and caring individuals who would like to join our Adjunct Faculty team starting for the Fall 2024 semester and continue to build on decades of successful service to our community.

Adjunct Instructor, Sociology

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Sociology or related discipline with 12 earned graduate credits in sociology. Availability to teach in person classes on campus during the daytime.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching introductory Sociology courses at the college level, experience with learning management systems (Brightspace D2L).
DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide instruction in appropriate courses.
• Evaluate student performance.
• At the direction of the Department Chairperson, Adjunct faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract.
The Salary is $1,340.00 per contact hour.
