Job Description:
The faculty member be responsible for teaching selected didactic nursing lectures in NURS 212- Nursing B in the LPN to RN Part-Time Evening Program option.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Responsibilities include teaching theory in the classroom, exam construction, exam review.
Focuses on the Commonwealth's Equity Agenda by applying related best practices throughout all job functions.

Adjunct Faculty are part time instructors hired on an as needed basis. Positions may consist of day, night, or weekend positions and may be in Brockton, Canton, Middleborough, or any other instructional site.

Requirements:
- MSN in nursing.
- Candidate must be a registered nurse in Massachusetts or eligible to be registered.
- Five years clinical experience and 2 years of didactic teaching experience in nursing.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in curriculum and course development.
- Knowledge of recent developments in nursing education.
- Awareness of the sensitivity to educational goals of a multicultural population.
- An understanding of evidence based teaching strategies to improve student learning with a wide range of instructional systems development, tutoring methods, and techniques for student support and success is critical for this applicant.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in teaching fundamentals of nursing or medical-surgical nursing.
- Experience with remote or Hybrid learning environments.
- Experience with platforms including Canvas, Zoom, ATI and online testing.

Additional Information:
Position Status: MCCC/MTA position
Semester: Fall 2021 & Spring 2022
Hours: 4-8 hours/week. Mondays and Thursdays, evenings.
Salary: $78.46 per hour, commensurate with the DCE Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Worksite: Assignments will include all Massasoit sites.
