Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver assigned courses as per the academic schedule and course syllabus, ensuring alignment with accreditation standards and criteria.
- Select appropriate textbooks and educational resources that meet course objectives and accreditation requirements.
- Develop course materials and lesson plans that maintain academic rigor and address the competencies necessary for program accreditation.
- Provide students with comprehensive syllabi outlining course aims, learning outcomes, teaching methods, attendance policies, required texts, assignments, timelines, evaluation criteria, and accreditation-related competencies.
- Utilize the institution's learning management system for syllabus distribution, assignment management, resource sharing, and student communication.
- Employ diverse teaching methods to present course content, incorporating assignments that emphasize practical application and fulfill accreditation standards.
- Assess student performance based on course objectives, learning outcomes, and accreditation benchmarks, offering timely feedback on their progress.
- Offer student support through regular office hours, scheduled meetings, and digital communication channels.
- Maintain accurate records of student enrollment, attendance, assessments, and grades, ensuring compliance with accreditation reporting requirements.
- Encourage student participation in course evaluations, utilizing feedback to enhance educational delivery and address accreditation improvement plans.
- Continuously update and refine course content to uphold academic excellence and adhere to accreditation guidelines.
- Participate in orientation sessions to understand the university's mission, teaching philosophy, policies, and learning management system, with a focus on accreditation standards.
- Attend meetings with the Chief Academic Officer to discuss course dynamics, student progress, curriculum updates, and contribute to program enhancement with an emphasis on accreditation.
- Engage in accreditation self-study, report preparation, and readiness for accreditation visits.
- Assist in developing and maintaining the program's assessment plan to meet accreditation standards.
- Submit an annual performance review detailing contributions to accreditation efforts as directed by the Chief Academic Officer.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of a Master's degree in teaching; a Ph.D. is preferred.
- Relevant teaching experience at the university/college level is highly desirable.
- Profound knowledge and understanding of the subject matter to be taught.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver course content using various teaching methodologies.
- Commitment to employing innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning.
- Ability to effectively utilize learning management systems for course delivery, communication, and administration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capacity to interact effectively with a diverse student body, faculty, and staff.
- Demonstrated ability to organize course content and instructional materials in a coherent manner conducive to student learning.
- Experience in assessing student performance in alignment with learning objectives and outcomes.
- Willingness to continuously update and enhance teaching skills and subject matter expertise.
- Ability to maintain consistent availability for student consultation through office hours, appointments, phone, or email.
- Strong record-keeping skills to accurately track student enrollment, attendance, assessments, and grades.
- Familiarity with academic policies and procedures, with a commitment to upholding them.
