Ford's Advanced Driver Assist System (ADAS) team designs and develops hardware, software and functional models that provide best-in-class behavior for features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Cross Traffic Alert, Active Park Assist, and 360 Camera Systems.
The ADAS Systems Diagnostic team develops the platform system architecture and requirements to provide diagnostic and configuration capabilities to all features within the system. We work with hardware, software and model engineers across ADAS to understand their diagnostic needs and implement platform level specifications to meet those needs utilizing a variety of diagnostic capabilities, including UDS functions and corporate tools and processes. Cross-functionally, we ensure the system design meets the necessary corporate diagnostic specifications, and supports the needs of our manufacturing and service teams. As part of the development process, we follow these requirements through validation, working closely with implementing and testing teams to ensure these requirements are met.
