Job Title: Adaptive Physical Education Teacher
Job Summary: A school near Acton, CA is seeking a licensed Adaptive Physical Education Teacher for the new school year.
Qualifications:

• Must have Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related field.
• plete a mission-approved program in adapted Physical Education.
• Pass the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST).
• Pass the California Subject Examinations for Teachers (CSET) in Physical Education.
• Active California teaching licensure in APE.

Duties:

• Planand implement Physical Education lessons that are appropriate for students with disabilities.
• Provideindividual instruction, modifying group activities, or using adaptive equipment.
• Collaboratewith other professionals, such as special Education Teachers and physical therapists, to ensure that students are receiving the support they need.
• Advocatefor students with disabilities to ensure that they have access to Physical Education and other school activities.
• Create a safe and positive teaching environment.
