Responsibilities:
- Provide advice, counsel, and support for interpretation, application, and compliance of the ADA, applicable State and Federal laws, and company policies.
- Lead and engage in the interactive process when a colleague or applicant requests a workplace accommodation, considering unique facts and circumstances for each case.
- Recommend solutions and influence leaders to consider accommodation requests with an open mind, while meeting business needs.
- Manage all assigned cases to closure, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
- Provide insights, observations, and support for reporting and metrics related to Reasonable Accommodations cases.
- Identify trends and share observations with business leaders, Human Resources, Legal, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Legal to resolve complex Reasonable Accommodation requests.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on reasonable accommodations for colleagues and the Leave of Absence team.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives, enhancing team efficiency, effectiveness, and the overall client experience.
- Handle sensitive conversations with colleagues regarding their Reasonable Accommodation requests with professionalism and empathy.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring a high degree of accuracy in handling case tasks.
- Utilize a case management system for all steps in the process, leveraging prior experience with case management software.
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Experience:
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA Standards): 2 years (Preferred)
- Legal Compliance: 1 year (Preferred)
