ACCESSIBILITY SURVEYOR

Are you ready for an adventure that combines travel with meaningful work? Are you knowledgeable or have the ability to apply codes and standards? We're searching for an Accessibility Surveyor who is willing to travel extensively for assignments but able to return home on weekends.

Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively to complete work efficiently and accurately.

Dependable and trustworthy, with a track record of meeting deadlines and delivering high- quality work consistently.

Problem-Solving Skills:

Resourceful and able to navigate challenges independently, finding practical solutions to accessibility issues encountered during surveys.

Technical Skills and Attention to Detail:

Basic technical skills to utilize surveying tools and equipment used during on-site assessments and understand checklist for identifying elements to be surveyed.

Meticulous attention to detail to accurately document and photograph accessibility features and deficiencies during surveys.

Communication Skills:

Effective communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders during travel assignments.

Adaptability:

Ability to adapt to different environments, weather conditions, and project requirements while on the road.

Analytical Skills:

Ability to analyze architectural plans, blueprints, and physical spaces to identify potential accessibility barriers and recommend appropriate solutions in accordance with codes and standards.

Continuous Learning:

Commitment to staying updated on changes and updates to accessibility regulations, codes, and standards to ensure accurate assessments and recommendations.

Weekly Travel:

Ability to travel to various locations on a weekly basis to conduct accessibility surveys for buildings, public spaces, and facilities. Comfortable with overnight stays and different travel schedules returning home on weekends to recharge and spend time with family and loved ones.

Valid Driver's License and Clean Driving Record:

Possession of a valid driver's license to rent vehicles to drive to survey locations. Safe and responsible driving habits are a must with clean driving record with no major traffic violations or accidents.

Expertise in Accessibility Regulations:

Proficiency in understanding and interpreting local and international accessibility regulations, including but not limited to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Universal Design principles, and relevant building codes.

Familiarity with Industry Guidelines:

Knowledge of industry-specific guidelines and best practices related to accessibility in buildings, public spaces, and facilities.

Experience with Code Compliance:

Experience in assessing buildings and infrastructure to ensure compliance with applicable accessibility codes and standards.
