Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate a variety of activities and programs for residents in an assisted living facility
- Develop and implement engaging activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being
- Assess residents' needs and preferences to create personalized activity plans
- Coordinate transportation for outings and appointments
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for residents
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress
- Communicate regularly with residents, families, and staff to gather feedback and address concerns
Qualifications:
- Experience in providing care or working with seniors in an assisted living or nursing home setting
- Knowledge of aging issues, dementia care, and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff
- Excellent organizational skills to manage schedules and coordinate multiple activities
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with residents who may have physical or cognitive limitations
- CNA certification is a plus but not required.
