The Shapiro-Rudolph Adult Day Health Center is part of Chelsea Jewish Lifecare, a non-profit, mission driven organization which has been providing innovative care to the elderly and disabled in Massachusetts for over 100 years! Nestled in our beautiful campus located in Peabody, MA, The Shapiro-Rudolph Adult Day Health Center is a leader in adult day health services where we provide a safe and secure program for individuals who need additional assistance and companionship during the day. This is a terrific option for seniors and their families since it allows adults to get the support they need from our outstanding team of professionals who go above-and-beyond each day in the care of our residents.
The Activity Assistant/Driver will help plan and implement activities that meet the needs and interests of our Adult Day Health Center participants. As a driver, you will provide transportation for our participants in the morning and afternoon as well as for community outings.
This position will be split approximately 50/50 between the two jobs - Monday-Friday 8am-4pm
Responsibilities:
- Assist in leading activity programming for a diverse population and keeping participants engaged
- Drives participants to and from their homes /day program in a safe manner and on scheduled community outings
- Ensures the vehicle is inspected before each use to make sure it is safe, clean and fueled
- Verifies that all passengers and their equipment (wheelchairs and walkers) are safely secured
Must have a valid driver's license, with a driving record that is in good standing
