Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Activities Director to join our team. As an Activities Director, you will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging recreational programs for our residents. Your role will involve creating a positive and stimulating environment that promotes social interaction, physical activity, and mental stimulation. Duties: - Develop and implement a wide range of activities and programs to meet the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs of our residents - Coordinate and schedule activities such as exercise classes, arts and crafts, games, outings, and special events - Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the smooth execution of activities - Assess the interests and abilities of residents to tailor activities to their individual needs - Provide support and assistance to residents during activities as needed - Maintain accurate records of attendance and participation in activities - Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines related to resident care Skills: - Experience in dementia care, assisted living, or memory care is highly desirable - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Knowledge of ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) and ability to assist residents as needed - Understanding of social work principles and practices in a senior care setting - Familiarity with nursing home regulations related to recreational therapy - Creativity and ability to develop innovative activity programs - Strong event planning skills If you are passionate about enhancing the lives of seniors through meaningful activities and have the skills required for this role, we encourage you to apply.
