The Brook Hospital KMI located at 8521 Lagrange Rd is currently seeking a Clinical Activities Therapist Supervisor to join our team.
The Activities Therapist Supervisor /AT Director is a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team. Major job functions include: obtaining psycho-social assessments; conducting family/group therapy on assigned cases; complete documentation per hospital policy and procedure; case coordination; coordinate discharge planning; assist in developing and maintaining community resource information; performs marketing functions as assigned; assists in the maintenance of the program environment in compliance with policies of safety and security; ensures good clinical judgment to ensure optimum patient care; participate in continuing education activities.

Qualifications
The following are job requirements for the position Clinical Activities Therapist
- Master's Degree from an accredited school in the Behavioral Sciences or Art or Music; must meet State Law regulations for credentialing clinicians. Must be licensed and/or under supervision. CTRS, LPATA, or LPAT are types of licensure required for Art or Activities Therapist
- To provide activities or art therapy groups to patients and ensure programming for patients is in place while directing team members to meet scheduling/census needs.
- Assures all documentation for groups is completed and documented Ensures that therapies conducted are consistent with the goals and philosophies of the program, and supportive of each patient's individual treatment plan.
- Charting is clear, concise and reflects weekly treatment plan goals/objective movement on a timely basis Participates and communicate with multidisciplinary treatment team
- Attends all team meetings on assigned patients
- Informs the treatment team of all details related to assigned patients in a clear and concise manner
- Completes clinical service requirements on Treatment planning forms
- Assists in developing and maintaining community resource information
- Demonstrates knowledge about community resources for program population
- Abides by hospital policy in making referrals to community resources
- Maintains positive working relationships with other professionals within the community, including referral sources to the hospital
- To assist in the maintenance of the program environment in compliance with policies of safety and security, and to exercise good clinical judgment to ensure optimum patient care
- Accepts and responds professionally to supervision
- Exhibits knowledge of realistic expectations for adults/adolescents, as well as understanding the dynamics of a family with a child/adolescent member
