Form of workTreyburn Country Club is seeking an Activities & Catering Director will coordinate all member, family and youth events as they relate to kids’ activities, camps, kid’s night out, holiday and family events and other various functions throughout the year. They will be the primary person of contact and responsible for maximizing event sales revenues through the successful formation and execution of a strategic outbound of sales and marketing effort, as well as through the development and maintenance of relationships with existing clients, members, stakeholders and prospective clients. The Activities & Catering Director will report to the Corporate Wellness & Activities Director and the General Manager.

Responsibilities
- Plans, monitors and supervises all member Children’s activities and events such as the Children’s Easter and Santa’s Brunch, Memorial Day youth activities, etc
- Hires, trains, supervises, schedules and evaluates children’s program staff
- Works with appropriate department leaders to plan, develop, implement and supervise age-appropriate programming and evaluate ongoing programs
- Works with appropriate department leaders to create an exciting calendar of events for all ages.
- Is present, as requested, at all member functions
- Completes payroll timesheets for activity leaders
- Updates and posts on social media including Instagram, Twitter and Facebook in coordination with the other department heads.
- Responsible for collecting and submitting information for the McConnell Newsletter
- Works with all department heads and puts together the bi-monthly newsletter
- Sends out weekly membership email
- Updates the website with events, flyers, articles etc.
- Coordinates and promotes monthly family, holiday and kids’ events
- Organizes and run the summer camp program
- Handles daily activities as needed for members including billing questions, bill payments, event questions, website login issues etc.
- Responsible for coordinating volunteer work as part of the McConnell Footprints on the Green initiative.
- Assist the Membership Sales and Marketing staff with photos and marketing pieces as needed
- Responsible for planning the yearly Activities budget and adhering to it as approved
- Provides quality service to all members and staff
- Organizes and plans birthday and holiday parties as appropriate for the member’s children
- Attends weekly Staff meetings and Food & Beverage meetings
- Attends company training/seminar events
- Book, coordinate and manage all external vendors for kids’ events and collaborate on club events
- Turn in all expenses and revenues to GM on a monthly basis
- Update kids club roster with new and resigned members including allergies
- Inventory and order supplies for all activities
- Serve as the Club liaison to the Swim Team and assist with coordination, communication, and execution of Swim season tasks and events
- Oversees, promotes and staff’s the fitness center
- Works with the group fitness instructors and coordinates a monthly group fitness calendar
- Completes payroll for all fitness contract employees
- Promotes all wellness programs, classes, trainers, specials etc.
- Works with the Corporate Wellness Director and US fitness to ensure the safety of the equipment, PM, equipment repairs etc.
- Completes all charges to member accounts for fitness and activity programs
- Meet and plan all catering events for the club.
- Provide direction, oversight and coordination to catering accounts and event clients and work in collaboration with staff and colleagues in the orchestration of a unique and memorable experience and an unparalleled level of service to all guests of the Club, ensuring that all requests are handled with care, urgency and proficiency.
- Will oversee the implantation and execution of the events
- Will be responsible for accurate and timely billing and reconciling outside event accounts.
Qualifications
- Requires a college degree with the emphasis on event planning, recreation, child development, and/or leisure studies
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Minimum of 3-5 years related work experience in child/youth setting
- Minimum of 3-5 years related work experience in event planning
- Current CPR & First Aid Certification
- Proficiency in presentation of projects
- Proficient with computer technology and standard software programs
- Actively use time-management system for appointments, projects, deadlines and follow-up
- Ability to effectively respond to feedback and suggestions to continuously improve the services provided to members
- We are all in Sales – assists with club tours and is highly knowledgeable of the Club’s culture and procedures respectively to membership inquiries, as needed
- Requires a high degree of administrative skills and executive ability and creativity
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Requires a high degree of knowledge of the Food & Beverage industry and will keep abreast of the current industry trends through courses, periodicals.
- Will present herself as an executive of the club
- Knowledge of current menus, private function policies, procedures, room sizes and capacities.

- Activity leaders & contract employees such as personal trainers and/or group fitness instructors.
