Activities Assistant- Weekends only

Creekwood Senior Home is a locally owned assisted living facility here in Novato, that cares for 35 residents. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Activity Assistant to join our team. As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by assisting with various activities and programs. Schedule

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY mornings, 8:30am to 5pm (this is a fixed schedule)

Responsibilities
-Performing daily exercise routine

-Provide scheduled activities and programs for residents
- Provide support and encouragement to residents during activities
- Help residents with memory care needs, including those with dementia
- Assist in event planning and coordination, including outings and special events

-Passing snack 2x daily

Skills
- Experience in senior care or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care and memory care techniques
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to connect with and engage seniors in meaningful activities
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with residents
- Understanding of aging issues and ability to provide counseling or support
