The FIJI Accounting team is looking for an Accounts Receivable Supervisorwith 5 years or more of Accounts Receivable (A/R) who will oversee and manage all aspects of A/R for our US and International entities.
The Accounts Receivable Supervisor is responsible for supporting, overseeing, and managing the performance and productivity within the AR team and our corporate deduction management system. This role provides continual feedback and guidance to a team of 7 direct reports. In addition to supporting FIJI Water US, this role does the Accounts Receivable for 4 foreign entities and our wine brands.
The work schedule for this position is hybrid - Monday to Wednesday in the office and Thursday & Friday from home.
Job Description
  • Supervise, train and mentor team of AR Specialists and direct reports
    • Help the team to understand their customer base to maximize the team's effectiveness with their collection and bill-backs
    • Ensure daily, weekly and monthly deliverables are completed accurately and on time, including invoices
  • Monitor and process collection of receivables for assigned high-risk accounts for FIJI and JUSTIN by ensuring receipt of timely payments and timely process of deductions
  • Serve as a backup to the AR Manager to add modifiers to pricing, making sure revenue is recorded properly in the GL
  • Assist AR Manager to monitor and develop solutions to reduce late balances
  • Review current workflow to make recommendations as needed, creating a more efficient process with productive results
  • Assist team with closing the AR sub ledger monthly, assisting team members to ensure invoices are sent daily
  • Work with Sales team and customers to identify and validate bill-backs, deductions and assist with filing claims
  • Collaborate with customer service, sales and senior level management to resolve issues
  • Process daily deposits for multiple domestic and international entities
  • Manage customer collections issues and progress of resolutions to meet weekly targets
  • Monitor chargebacks, returns, and shipment discrepancies
  • Reconcile AR accounts to the G/L and monthly bank statements
  • Establish and implement a communication schedule with customers to proactively collect on balances and issues
  • Report out on aging status and issues/solutions and analysis of key customer accounts
  • Provide Oracle administrative support for AR and credit areas, along with support for annual audit requests
  • Review credit memos in ERP system within assigned approval limit
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a leadership role within Accounts Receivable Department
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required. Oracle knowledge is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with people at all levels across the organization with a team mentality
  • Detail-oriented, able to maintain a high level of confidentiality, and can handle multiple tasks simultaneously with speed and accuracy
  • Strong math and analytical skills
